Update on...everything.

It has been a while since a 'real' update.
SO:
- I'm making the best of what I've got at work. Haven't killed anyone, haven't died. Getting my 2-year review, and hopefully it won't suck too much. The new people (transfers) have started, and they're pretty cool. But theres still not enough work to go around.
- The great apartment hunt of 2008 has begun. I'm hopeful that we'll find something good. We've already seen one that was crap, and one that was really nice. Seeing even more this weekend.
- The swallowing issue has returned. Week before last I had a couple of bad, painful episodes. A visit to the doctor sent me to the Gastro specialist (yesterday). After an hour and a half wait (I had an appointment....but they just kind of ignored that) He took some notes. The doc thinks the most likely thing is acid reflux. Apparently 20% of people who have it don't get heartburn symptoms...like me. But he said it would not only explain the swallowing difficulty (and the way it comes and goes) but also the asthma. Which makes sense, considering that I only get the bad attacks of asthma when I'm lying on my back (which generally is opposite for normal asthma).
So, I get to get the camera stuck down my throat. Yay endoscopy!! (ick)
-The cats are still cats. Kaylee is vocal and cute, Gantu is getting more cuddly again. Whee.
-Rob and I had our 3-year anniversary this past weekend. Didn't do anything special, but its still going great. And holy shit, three years already? yeah. It's weird.
Rob's dad started his new job...his new, full-time, very well-paying job. W00T.
I've got my new computer, which my most-awesome brother put together for me, and for which my other awesome brother got me an OS.
...But I still haven't been able to get my files off my old computer. Its being a pain, and we are nearing our last resort...either transfering the hard drive and taking our chances, or networking it to Rob's computer to get my goddamned music.
I still love Felix, and am happy that I got him, even if I have to make payments every month. I don't regret it.
Yup...thats life at the moment. Questions? Comments?
