Power has been out since last night, in my town, and at least two of the neighboring towns. It was still out when I drove to work this morning.

Showering by flashlight is FUN. Really.

You're lucky you were still able to shower! Our sewer pump is electric, so when our power goes out we can't flush the toilets or our basement will fill up with sewage. Yum!

Yes...as I took my nice hot shower, I was actually thinking "well, at least sewer or the water heater isn't electric...

We still have water when the power goes out, but our water heater is electric - so only cold water! Last year when the power went out for a few days we had to shower at our friends' house.
