Oi! A power story...

SO.

When I got home yesterday from work we STILL didn't have power. This made life difficult, because apparently in some fashion, our heat needs electricity. It was about 63 when I got home. brr.

But we made contingency plans...we were going to a company holiday party, and would stay at a friends place if our power wasn't back on when we got back. We went over to said friends place to get ready, cuz it's really hard to get ready and fancied up (and in Rob's case, shaved) by flashlight. Went the the party (Which was a LOT of fun, and I has a bonus check!). Luckily, we decided to check the apartment first, rather than going straight to friends house when we got back...and the power was on! Yay! It had come back, LITERALLY, half an hour after we left. OI.


Also, we had a massive power surge in the equipment room yesterday. FRIED (and I mean smoking fried) two surge protectors. MAN did those things earn their keep!

And now...off to visit/cut/trim moms christmas tree.

When the space heater bob had put in was using more electricity than our entire household, the electric company liked to tell me that it could be the gas heat using that much electricity. The thermostats, regulators, all that jazz, they require electricity. 63 though? We keep our heat at 62.
